Established in 1983, FVB Psychologists is committed to offering the highest standard of psychological care to our clients. As one of the most established and comprehensive psychology practices in Ontario, we offer evidence-based assessment and interventions to individuals and families. With offices in Brampton and Mississauga, we provide a broad range of services to individuals, private and public institutions, government agencies, and police services. 

In order to meet service demand, FVB is looking to hire motivated psychologists and psychological associates (part-time or full-time) to work in our Brampton and Mississauga offices. The successful candidates will provide psychological assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to adults and/or children, adolescents and their families. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, adults (& families).
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Complete required documentation for third party payers (e.g., WSIB).
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments, develop and implement treatment plans.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent organization, time management, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds is an asset.
  • Experience with web-based video conferencing and telepsychology platforms.
  • Knowledge of case management software for accurate record keeping.
  • Expertise in a variety of therapeutic approaches with solid cognitive-behavioral skills. 

Education

  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, or eligible for supervised practice. 
  • Ph.D. (or PsyD) or M.A. in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA accredited university

As part of our practice, referrals are handled for you with consideration given to your areas of expertise and clientele preferences. There is the opportunity for peer supervision and consultation on a regular basis. We facilitate flexible working hours and provide fully trained administrative support staff to assist you. Administrative functions (e.g., appointment scheduling, confirmation of appointments, billings and record maintenance) are the responsibility of our trained, efficient full-time support team.

Hours: As psychological professionals, you select your own schedule including the preferred number of clinical hours per week you wish to work, subject to a minimum requirement of 30 hours per week including administrative duties. 

Compensation: FVB offers a range of competitive compensation consistent with your level of credentialing. 

Working Remotely: FVB currently operates using a virtual platform due to COVID-19 public health restrictions and College recommendations - except in the case of child assessment. When normal operations resume, practitioners may opt for virtual and/or in-person delivery of services.
