Amanda Coffey, MEd, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (supervised practice)

Amanda graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology (MEd) and subsequently worked as an educator and psychoeducational consultant with the Peel District School Board for 10 years. She is currently a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario providing counselling and therapy services for individuals ages 12 and up.

Amanda works within an integrative (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative and Solutions-Focused Therapy) and anti-oppressive approach with her clients. Her areas of expertise include grief and loss, anxiety, depression and mood disorders, addiction, burnout, posttraumatic stress disorder, attachment disorders, and eating disorders. Amanda's background as an educator and consultant has also led to expertise in the areas of learning disabilities and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with a focus on supporting families as they navigate a diagnosis, providing psychoeducation around the diagnosis, and supporting families when school-related issues arise.
